CP Ships has finalized plans for the most comprehensive and competitive choice of services available linking Australia and New Zealand with Europe, South East Asia, West Asia and North America.

 17.11.05   CP Ships and Hapag-Lloyd announce new weekly Australasian Service 
CP Ships and Hapag-Lloyd announced today that in February 2006 they plan to launch a new Australasian joint service linking Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, the Mediterranean and North Europe via the Suez Canal.

In the context of the acquisition of the British-Canadian shipping line CP Ships by TUI AG, Michael Behrendt, chairman of the executive board of Hapag-Lloyd AG, was appointed chairman of the board of CP Ships on November 7th.

Having completed its focusing on the shipping sector in 2004, Hapag-Lloyd AG, a 100% subsidiary of TUI Group, is now streamlining its organizational structure.

 19.04.05   New enhanced port coverage with European Express Service (EEX)  
As from April 23rd 2005, Hapag-Lloyd Container Line will operate the existing EEX service independently until further notice on a fixed day fortnightly basis.

The partners of the Eurosal consortium are delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached regarding the integration of the CSAV Andes Express into a new Eurosal loop.

 11.04.05   "Colombo Express" - Naming of the largest containership in the world 
She is 335m long and 43m wide and can carry 8,750 containers. The largest containership in the world was named today in Singapore. The patron of the new Hapag-Lloyd flagship was Christiane Krumnow, wife of the supervisory board chairman of TUI AG, Dr. Jürgen Krumnow.

In 2004, Hapag-Lloyd Group, which is focused on shipping, improved yet again on its already high sales and profit levels in previous years. It is maintaining its growth course in the global container transport market and will be adding ten mega containerships to its fleet up to 2008<BR>
