Organisational Structure
Hapag-Lloyd is decentralised. The company headquarters is located in Hamburg. The operative business is run through five Regional headquarters: North Europe (located in Hamburg), South Europe (Genoa), North America (Piscataway, New Jersey), Latin America (Tampa, Florida) and Asia (Singapore). Alongside these, Ship and Container Management, IT, plus Business Administration are centralised in Hamburg.
Each Region has its own Product Management, Business Administration and Operations department. More than 340 offices in over 100 countries are there to serve our customers. Every sales office (Area) worldwide has the same structure and the same functions.
